◼ World Mathematics League 1 was a turning point in Mental Mathematics Competitions.The first edition of World Mathematics League was an ongoing competition for 8 rounds that lasted for 8 months. The 1st round was held on September 2nd, 2022 in Cairo in HORUS 5 and the 8th round ended on May 19th, 2023 in Amsterdam in HORUS 6.

◼ World Mathematics League was inspired from football leagues, as all of the students are competing in teams under the flag of their country.

◼ During 8 rounds in 8 months, around 500 students from 9 different countries were competing and practicing monthly. And their results were based on 3 things:

1. 30% Public votes.
2. 30% Experts votes.
3. 40% Exam Results.

◼ The monthly test took place on HORUS platform where students solved 160 math problems in just 10 minutes. The students were divided into 13 groups based on the students’ age and level on mental mathematics.

◼ The top 3 teams and the top 3 students in the 5 professional groups received monthly financial prizes that were based on the number of the students in every round.

◼ Companies’ monthly ranking was calculated based on their students’ results every month. And as for the world ranking, students and companies’ monthly ranking were added every month to determine their world ranking, which was announced in Amsterdam During HORUS 6 Championship.
